Is there any way I could get this translated…?

Sure I’ll give it a try (this is kind of a rough translation, but you’ll get the idea):

“One of my big musical interests is John Zorn, and I am currently trying to write about some of his music. Related to that I came across an article newly published in the journal Echo (it’s in volume 8, which says it is from 2006, but which is recently published [I got an email from American Musicological Society (AMS) about the publication today – academic publishing is not always easy). The article is entitled “From the Fantastic to the Dangerously Real: Reading John Zorn’s Artwork,” and is written by John Brackett, professor of music theory, University of Utah. According to his homepage at the university his book John Zorn: Tradition and Transgression will be published by Indiana University Press in 2009. It is not written much about Zorn, so this seems really promising. At the same time is it topics related to the Asian – included the imaginary Asian – Brackett focuses upon, so there are definitely more to be written about Zorn. My own take is for the time being a Jewish dimension, but it will probably be expanded to include other phenomena as well, such as cross-cutting and recycling as I have mentioned related to an earlier post discussing Carl Stalling. John Brackett seems to be my kind of guy scholarly speaking; in addition to John Zorn he has, among other things, written about Led Zeppelin and Arnold Schoenberg. (But it should probably be added that such a mixture is becoming less rare within musicology).”

Please feel free to drop me an email if you got any more questions. And, as you hopefully get, I’m really looking forward to read your book when it’s published.
